Plymovent MobileGo 500 CFM
The MobileGo is a compact, self-contained fume extractor built for shops that need source capture without permanent installation. The 10ft articulating arm positions directly at the weld — capturing hexavalent chromium, manganese, and metal oxide fumes before they reach your welder’s breathing zone. Rolls on locking casters. Plugs into a standard 120V outlet. No electrician, no ductwork, no permits.

OSHA 1910.252(c) requires local exhaust ventilation where general ventilation cannot maintain exposures below PELs. For stainless steel welding, source capture at the torch is the only reliable engineering control for the 5 μg/m³ hexavalent chromium PEL (OSHA 1910.1026). The MobileGo positions the capture hood within the required 6–10 inches of the arc. Every unit ships with documentation suitable for your OSHA compliance file.

The MobileGo is rated for light to medium duty use — designed for approximately 1.5 lbs of electrode or 1 coil of wire per month per unit. It is not rated for heavy oil mist or continuous high-volume production welding. For heavier applications, our team can size a central cartridge system that handles the load.
