You answer to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) — Rule 1466 for toxic metals and crystalline silica, Rule 1403 for asbestos — plus CARB hexavalent-chromium control measures and federal OSHA. On top of that, any operation handling combustible dust now falls under NFPA 660, the unified standard that consolidated six older standards (NFPA 61, 484, 652, 654, 655, and 664) and became enforceable January 1, 2026. We design for all of it from the first drawing.

We engineer for that constraint up front instead of discovering it at plan review.
For combustible dust, the sequence matters: the dust hazard analysis (DHA) comes first, and we coordinate it through a qualified third-party engineering firm and accredited lab — we don’t author or stamp it ourselves. Then we design and install the protection the DHA calls for. Buying equipment before the DHA is the single most common reason a system fails inspection.

Both. Travel time is built into the proposal, and we confirm coverage before you spend any time on the process.

Yes. For combustible dust facilities we coordinate the DHA through a qualified third-party engineering firm and accredited lab, then design and install the protection that satisfies the findings. How long does an Inland Empire project take?
Southern California projects generally run longer than other states we serve because of SCAQMD permit timelines and source-testing requirements — typically 16 to 22 weeks from signed proposal to commissioning for a mid-size cartridge system, with combustible-dust projects adding a few weeks for NFPA 660 protection equipment.
