Description
Your metal dust, captured in water at 3,000 CFM
If your shop grinds, saws, deburrs, sands or machines aluminum, titanium, magnesium or other reactive metals, your dust collector has a harder job than catching dust. The AT Industrial C7-3000 pulls your process air through a water bath, so the fines are knocked down and held in the sump instead of building up on a dry filter.
NFPA 660 treats wet collection as the preferred approach for most reactive metal dusts, and we recommend wet for those applications. The whole unit is 304 stainless steel, so the water and sludge never sit against painted carbon steel.

What your NEMA electrical package does
Add it when you order. The collector starts when your process machine turns on, the package watches the water level so you keep proper airflow, and it shuts down both your machine and the collector if the water runs too low or too high.
Before your collector arrives
- Plan a water supply and a drain at the location. The automatic controller keeps the sump filled for you.
- Wet collection of metal dust produces hydrogen in the sump. NFPA 660 requires hydrogen to be managed on every wet metal system, so plan ventilation for the collector and the room it sits in.
- Plan time to rake out sludge. The stainless sludge rake and front access door make it a standing job, not a teardown.
- Your unit ships LTL freight. Freight is added at checkout.
Who this is not for
- More airflow than these sizes cover. AT Industrial builds wet collectors from 800 to 15,000 CFM. The sizes in our store run 800 to 8,000 CFM. A bigger line needs a larger unit or more than one.
- No plan for water and sludge. AT builds in automatic water level control and a stainless sludge rake, and offers a sludge vacuum that pumps water, swarf and sludge out of the sump. Plan who on your crew cleans the sump.
- Running without water level protection. AT’s NEMA package monitors water level and shuts down your processing equipment and the collector when the level is too low or too high. It is an option on most sizes and standard on the C20-8000.
- Combustible metal without hydrogen management. NFPA 660 requires hydrogen management on every wet collector handling metal. Call us before you order so the collector and its venting get designed together.
