Who this is not for

  • No collector or fan to connect it to. The arm captures at the source. Parker’s extraction arm owner’s manual sends you to your fume, mist or dust collector’s own manual for hookup, or to the optional extraction blower. On its own, the arm does not filter or move air.
  • Work the hood cannot stay close to. The manual calls hood position critical: about 10 to 14 inches from the source, at a 45 degree angle, on the side opposite the worker. If the hood cannot stay that close to your work, the arm will not perform the way it is designed to.
  • Combustible dust without a plan. Parker’s combustible dust notice, printed in its owner’s manuals and covering all DustHog and SmogHog systems, puts testing your dust and adding the fire or explosion protection it calls for on the owner, before the equipment is specified. If your dust is combustible, call us before you order.
