Dust collection and fume extraction in Las Vegas
Your Las Vegas operation runs in one of the fastest-growing industrial corridors in the country — stone and countertop fabrication, warehousing and distribution across Apex and North Las Vegas, gaming and hospitality manufacturing, and an aerospace and defense base out toward Nellis. We engineer, install, and back the dust collection system with our pass-or-free guarantee.
Las Vegas is not just a resort town — it is a serious manufacturing and materials-handling market, and it is growing fast. The valley has one of the densest concentrations of stone and countertop fabrication shops in the country, feeding both the resort corridor and a residential building boom. Warehousing and distribution have exploded across the Apex Industrial Park, North Las Vegas, and Henderson. Add gaming-equipment and hospitality millwork, aerospace and defense work near Nellis, food and beverage production for the Strip, and a licensed cannabis-processing sector, and you have a metro where a lot of operations generate airborne dust or fume that needs real engineering controls.
Whatever you run — a quartz and granite shop in Henderson, a distribution retrofit in North Las Vegas, a cabinet and casework operation feeding a casino remodel, or a fabrication floor near the airport — your dust collector has to satisfy OSHA, the Clark County Division of Air Quality (Clark County holds its own delegated air authority, separate from the rest of the state), the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) statewide, and as of January 1, 2026, NFPA 660 for any combustible dust operation. NFPA 660 is the unified standard that consolidated six older standards — NFPA 61, 484, 652, 654, 655, and 664. That is the stack we work inside every day.
Las Vegas industries we serve
Stone, countertop & silica
Respirable crystalline silica capture for quartz, granite, and engineered-stone fabrication — the single densest dust-hazard trade in the valley. Sized to meet OSHA’s silica standard (29 CFR 1910.1053, Table 1).
Metal fabrication & welding
Welding fume extraction, grinding dust, plasma and laser cutting ventilation. Hex chrome capture for stainless and exotic alloy work across the valley’s fab shops.
Woodworking & casino millwork
Combustible wood dust collection with NFPA 660 explosion protection for cabinet shops, casework, and the hospitality millwork feeding Strip and Henderson remodels.
Aerospace & defense
Composite dust, titanium and aluminum machining, and controlled-facility filtration for the aerospace and defense work clustered near Nellis and the airport corridor.
Food & beverage processing
Sanitary design, allergen separation, and combustible-powder protection for the bakeries, commissaries, and beverage producers supplying the resort corridor.
Plastics manufacturing
Injection-molding fume extraction, plastic dust capture for cutting and routing, and regrind processing for thermoplastic operations across the valley.
Pharmaceutical & nutraceutical
Contained filtration, potent-compound capture, and cleanroom-grade exhaust for pharma, supplement, and cannabis-processing facilities operating under Nevada licensing.
Vocational & trade schools
OSHA-compliant fume extraction and dust collection for welding programs, CNC labs, and woodshops at CSN and trade programs across Southern Nevada.
Mining & aggregate
Crushing, screening, and material-handling dust collection sized for high-CFM continuous duty at aggregate and mineral operations in the surrounding basin.
What Las Vegas gets wrong about collector sizing
You are running equipment in one of the harshest thermal environments in the country. Summer ambient regularly sits at 105 to 115°F, and most collectors live outdoors in an un-shaded yard. Heat changes the math. A motor and fan sized off a spec sheet at 70°F does not behave the same at 112°F — motor derating, bearing life, and drive thermal limits all move. We size for the actual valley thermal load, not the catalog default, so the system still pulls its rated CFM in August.
The second Las Vegas factor is silica density. The valley has an unusually high concentration of quartz, granite, and engineered-stone fabrication shops, and respirable crystalline silica is the dust hazard OSHA polices hardest. A booth or downdraft table that looks fine on a walkthrough can still miss the Table 1 airflow it needs to be defensible. We size stone-shop capture to the OSHA silica standard from the start, and document it.
Third: Clark County permitting on a fast-growing floor. New facilities across Apex, North Las Vegas, and Henderson are permitting dust collection installations from scratch, and Clark County runs its own air-quality authority with its own paperwork. We handle the Clark County permitting and emission calculations as part of every engineered system we install — so the collector and the permit arrive together, not months apart.
