Nordfab Quick-Fit Ducting
Clamp-together duct you can price, order and change yourself.
Your duct should not be the part of your dust collection that takes a welder and a week. Quick-Fit pipe and fittings join with one lever clamp, come apart for cleaning, and move when your floor changes. We carry the line with prices shown, 3 in. to 24 in., in galvanized or 304 stainless.
Why your shop runs it
What Quick-Fit changes on your floor
No rivets, screws or welding
Every component has a die-formed rolled edge. Your clamp closes over two edges, compresses the seal across both beads in a full 360°, and locks with a pin. Nordfab puts the time saved putting duct up, and the downtime saved, at more than 45%.
Seams that do not leak
Your pipe’s longitudinal seam is laser welded and light tested for voids. Lockform spiral leaves the seam open to leakage. Quick-Fit closes it with a weld.
Duct that moves with you
Pull two clamps and you have a clean-out. Pull a few more and the run relocates. When you add a machine, your duct comes with it instead of going in the dumpster.
Ordering
What goes into your order
You rarely buy just pipe. Run through this so your order arrives complete. These counts come from Nordfab’s own ordering guidance.
Pipe
Every length is a nominal 5 ft. Standard gauge is 22ga to 12 in. and 20ga from 13 in. to 24 in.
Clamps
Not included with pipe. Plan on one clamp per component: every pipe, elbow, branch, gate and adapter.
Sleeves
One wherever a run is shorter than a 5 ft multiple, and in most cases at every branch and 90°.
Hangers
About one every 10 ft as a general rule. Check your local code for your building.
Then add your elbows, branches, reducers, blast gates and the adapter or hose at each machine.
Materials and seals
Match your duct to your heat and your process
Your temperature limit is set by the weakest part in the joint, which is usually the seal, not the steel. Check every component before you order.
| Component | Option | Rated temperature | Use it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pipe and fittings | Galvanized, ASTM A653 G90 | 390°F recommended max | Most dry dust and fume |
| Pipe and fittings | 304 stainless, ASTM A240 | 1100°F | High heat, chemical or food and pharma lines |
| Clamp seal | Nitrile (standard) | 158°F continuous, 194°F intermittent | Most applications, including oil mist |
| Clamp seal | Silicone | 400°F | Above 158°F, or outdoors |
| Clamp seal | ePTFE | 600°F | Chemical exposure, 0 to 14 pH. Industrial use only |

Be sure before you buy
When Quick-Fit is not right for you
- Your system has to be airtight. Standard Quick-Fit is clamp-together and Nordfab does not sell it as airtight. Ask us about Nordfab’s QFS sealed system instead.
- You need FDA-approved duct. Nordfab products are not FDA approved, though they run in many food and pharmaceutical plants. Confirm what your process requires.
- Your duct carries wet or sticky material. Wet systems need a different spec. Talk to us before you order.
- Your main is larger than 24 in. Over 24 in. goes to flanged duct, which we quote to your sizes.
- You have not sized your system yet. Buying duct before you know your CFM and velocity at each drop is how most shops end up with a collector that cannot pull. Start with an assessment.
Questions
Nordfab Quick-Fit FAQ
Do Quick-Fit clamps come with the pipe?
No. Clamps are ordered separately. As a rule you need one clamp per component in your order.
All the pipe is 5 ft long. What if I need 36 in.?
Cut the pipe to length and use a Quick-Fit Sleeve to close the run. The sleeve is about 11 in. long and includes a nitrile O-ring.
Can Quick-Fit connect to my existing duct or a metric machine?
Yes. Nordfab makes adapters to connect to most existing pipe and to most metric machines, plus reducers down to 2 in. and smaller hose connections. Odd sizes are quoted to order.
When do I need stainless instead of galvanized?
Stainless is used in food, chemical and high temperature applications. Galvanized covers most dry dust and fume collection.
How often do I need a hanger?
About every 10 ft as a general rule. Follow your local code.
Is Quick-Fit grounded for static?
Every joint gets metal-to-metal contact through the clamp ears and the rolled edges. Nordfab references NFPA 77, which calls for no more than 10 ohms of resistance across a continuous metal piping system. Testing that is the owner’s responsibility.
What does Quick-Fit cost?
Prices are shown on every product in our shop, and freight is added at checkout. For what a full system runs, see our 2026 dust collection system cost guide.
