Description
Self-Cleaning Downdraft Tables
Your welding, grinding, and cutting stations need source capture at the work surface — before fume reaches the breathing zone. Pick a size, pick a grate, plug it in. Push-button pulse cleaning keeps your filter performing without taking the unit apart. Four sizes from 1,500 to 6,000 CFM, shipped fully assembled from our in-stock inventory.
What sets these tables apart
Most downdraft tables sit at one of two extremes — consumer-grade plug-ins that can’t keep up with shop welding, or fully custom industrial units that take weeks to build and quote. These Quick Ship tables land in between: purpose-built industrial construction, in-stock inventory for 48-hour ship, and pricing you can see before you pick up the phone.
Push-Button Pulse Cleaning
Your operator triggers a compressed-air pulse between jobs or at shift end to knock dust off the cartridge. No taking the unit apart, no replacing filters because suction died. Requires clean shop air at 80–100 PSI.
Nanofiber FR Cartridge
146 sq ft of nanofiber media captures fine welding fume and metalworking dust at 99.97% efficiency at 0.5 micron. Fire-retardant treatment keeps sparks from igniting collected dust inside the filter.
Triple-Layer Spark Protection
A drop-out tray catches heavy slag before it reaches the cartridge. A wrap shields the bottom 80% of the filter. The FR coating handles anything that gets through. Three layers because welding sparks are not negotiable.
Fully Assembled, Plug and Run
Every unit ships fully assembled on locking caster wheels. Roll it to your station, plug it in, your team is working. The SD23 runs on a standard 120V outlet — larger sizes need 230V or 460V three-phase.
12/14 Gauge Welded Steel
Welded steel cabinet, powder-coated grey inside and out. Built to take a beating in a working shop — durable for production, not pretty for a showroom. Side and back shields contain spatter at the work surface.
1-Year Parts & Labor Warranty
Standard manufacturer warranty covers cabinet, motor, blower, controls, and cleaning system for one full year. Call us at 602-456-9661 for service — we coordinate the warranty claim on your behalf. Cartridge filter is consumable, not covered.
Pick the right size for your work
The size you need is driven by the largest workpiece you set on the table — not by your shop square footage. Welding a 30″ frame on a 24″ surface means fume escapes the capture zone. Here’s how the four sizes line up against real shop applications.
SD23
24″ × 36″ · 1,500 CFM
For bench welding, soldering stations, and small-format grinding. Plug-and-run on a standard 120V outlet — you don’t need an electrician. Common in welding training labs, small custom fab shops, and dedicated workstations inside larger facilities.
- 3/4 HP direct-drive blower
- 120V single-phase, 16.6 amps
- 350 lbs · single pallet
- Best for one welder, workpieces under 24″
SD34
36″ × 48″ · ~3,000 CFM
Where most production shops land. Surface fits the typical fabrication piece, and the 3 HP blower keeps capture velocity strong even with the larger work zone. Common in metal fab shops, custom motorcycle and automotive shops, and trade school welding programs.
- 3 HP direct-drive blower
- 230V or 460V three-phase
- Single pallet, lift-gate available
- Best for production welding and grinding
SD46
48″ × 72″ · ~4,500 CFM
The size that handles structural welding, larger fabrications, and pieces a single operator wouldn’t move alone. 5 HP blower keeps the larger surface under proper downdraft velocity. Common in structural fab shops, ag equipment makers, and aerospace tier-2 suppliers.
- 5 HP direct-drive blower
- 230V or 460V three-phase
- LTL freight, lift-gate recommended
- Best for structural fab and bigger weldments
SD48
48″ × 96″ · ~6,000 CFM
An 8-foot work surface for the largest fabrications a downdraft table makes sense for. Beyond this point, fume arms or a central system usually do the job better. Common where shops are running long structural pieces, large aerospace components, or full-frame work that doesn’t fit anywhere else.
- 10 HP direct-drive blower
- 230V or 460V three-phase
- LTL freight, lift-gate required
- Best for largest workpieces in a downdraft footprint
What’s in the box
Every unit ships with the same standard package. No nickel-and-diming on the items you actually need to run a downdraft table.
What you can run on it
Designed for OSHA-aligned welding and metalworking applications. Capture velocity at the work surface meets typical exposure limits for the processes below — though your specific compliance depends on your process, your ventilation, and your duty cycle. When this isn’t right for you
A downdraft table works best on a fixed bench. If your work doesn’t match that pattern, here’s what does — and we’d rather tell you up front than have you order the wrong thing.
A different product is better when…
- Your work is too big for an 8-foot surface — get a fume arm at the arc instead
- Your welding stations move around the floor — a portable extractor follows the work
- You have 4+ fixed stations — a central cartridge collector is more cost-effective per station
- You’re grinding combustible reactive metals (aluminum, magnesium, titanium dust) — NFPA 660 requires a wet collector, not dry
Book an assessment instead when…
- You need certified NFPA 660 compliance documentation for your facility
- You’re under an OSHA citation timeline and need documented system design
- You’re planning a full facility build-out with permitted ductwork
- You want a fully engineered system — our team sizes the unit, designs the ductwork, and handles the install
